Nomination Instructions

Minority Enterprise Executive Council’s 9^th annual awards gala,  “Fifty Influential Entrepreneurs In Business” will honor small/minority men and women nationally who have been making headlines and making a difference in their fields. The Gala is being hosted in conjunction with MEA Magazine.  The black tie event attracts from 500-800 people.

We are looking for candidates who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence and to the community, people who are shaping our economic future.  To nominate yourself or someone else, please follow these instructions.

Selection Criteria

Entries that do not follow the selection criteria outlined below will be disqualified. No exceptions.

INITIAL SELECTION CRITERIA INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING

Candidates must provide the following information:

q       Should be an owner, president, partner, CEO, COO, board chair, senior executive management level or person with significant authority for decision-making in a company.

q       Nominees’ name, present position, age, place of employment, address, daytime number, fax number, years in business or length of employment, and size of organization.

q       Must have Annual Gross revenues from $5 million or more.

q       Must submit nomination (biography profile) in a word document, which is no longer than two pages in length. 

q       Nominees are expected to participate fully (tickets, reserve corporate table, or advertise, etc.)if selected.

q       May be self-nominated or nominated by another person.

q       Cannot be a member of the review board judge’s immediate family.

q       Cannot be an employee of Minority Enterprise Executive Council.

q      Must provide two different professional color photographs.  (Photographs will be used for video production and editorial profile for the awards presentation)

q       It is helpful to be a member of MEE Council, however, it is not a determining factor in your selection.

q      If selected, must be able to travel to Washington, DC for the award presentation.

The search is on for men and women wishing to be considered for the Minority Enterprise Executive Council’s Fifty Influential Entrepreneurs In Business awards. You can nominate yourself or be nominated by others.

MEE Council will notify individuals nominated by others.  The awards are open to any men and women who are business owners, entrepreneurs or those holding a management or supervisory position with a company or corporation.  All information provided on applications will be held confidential.
